| Thursday 24th October 2002 @ 2pm: A few more
updates |
| I've just done a couple of updates... I added the hostname and port
to connect to in the Protocol Specification! There have been a few
requests for this as it generically helps when writing a client ;-) My
apologies for forgetting to post it in the re-write. Also... just added
a quick key on the Server Stats bandwidth usage... not that it really
matters. Also... I've noticed a massive backlog of e-mails filling my
inbox of various requests for all sorts... I am working through the
backlog now and hopefully everyone should get their reply soon, my
apologies for letting it build up again but I have been madly busy |

| Friday 26th July 2002 @ 6pm: Forum down, some
re-works |
| Due to sheer lack of practically ANYONE signing up on the forum :-\
I removed it a few days ago and have removed the link now... I've gone
through adding some more details to the Server Stats page... seems to
work fine :-) |

| Sunday 30th June 2002 @ 6am: First update in a while |
| Firstly, my apologies to those who have emailed me and had to wait
quite a few days or even a week or so to get a reply... I have been
extremely busy with exams... works etc etc. I have replied to everyone I
got an email from I think, if I have missed you, email me again ;-) I
will reply... Anyway, to the updates... I have made a separate tutorial
for the DNS definitions which seem to confuse some users so much, this
is just copied out of the ODS manager tutorial page and modified a
little, as per usual, email if you notice anything missing or such... I
have also FINALLY written the OS X Client tutorials as requested
multiple times by Jason ;-) Do enjoy and give feedback on the client to
Jason. Also put the year after the
dates on these updates if it wasn't obvious ;-) I plan to put up a TODO
section soon as well outlining things the team has still to do to the
server. ALSO, not that I've said also enough... we could do with
some more people signing up on the development forum and forwarding
ideas... things you'd like to see, things you'd like us to do etc etc...
any views/opinions are welcome so sign up! |

| Thursday 18th May 2002 @ 10pm: New protocol
specification is up! |
| I almost forgot to post the update here! I put the new protocol
specification up for the current ODS protocol (link is on left). People
such as those developing clients may find this useful to understand how
communications to the server work so they can build clients based on
this, as always, any comments can be emailed straight to us |

| Sunday 28th April 2002 @ 7pm: Some changes |
| Ok... we've changed our minds again ;-) I have set up some forums
dedicated to development open to everyone... if we get good feedback
with a few people signing up... we'll keep it running and hope to get
some collaboration on our development work! If not... well we'll see ;-)
Also... added a link to the protocol specification page which I will get
written up and posted soon... any positive or negative feedback is
always encouraged |

| The mailing lists page has been posted. You can find it
on the Links bar on the left of this page |

| Saturday 20th April 2002 @ 1am: Some more updates |
| I've decided to scrap the forums, I figured that pretty muchly
no-one would use them anyway... we have the mailing lists though...
details will be posted soon. I know a few of the pages still aren't
working but I'm still working on finishing off everything, I'm just
finishing writing the ODS Manager (web site manager) tutorial now and
that should bring us up to date except a few missing pages... Anyway, if
anyone has got any ideas on what they want to see here... or comments on
anything such as tutorials, just drop me a line and we'll discuss it as
always |

| Friday 12th April 2002 @ 6pm: New site up |
| Way hay! Back after popular demand, the development and support web
site. This web site will deal primarily with developers of clients,
keeping them tied and giving them the resources they need to get their
clients built and hosted. We will also update you with news on the ODS
server and our development status and plans. Finally, of course, this
site will give tutorials and general help on using clients and other
things with ODS... I hope you enjoy the new site and find what you're
looking for |
